The Breakfast Club


The Welsh Assembly Government has made a commitment to provide an opportunity for every child of primary school age to receive free breakfast at the school daily. The aim is to assist to improve children’s health and ability to concentrate, to assist to raise standards of learning and achievement.

A Breakfast Club is held at Ysgol Bontnewydd. It is a free club for children of school age. The Club is open between 8:00 and 8:50. Breakfast is served between 8:00 and 8:30. Special arrangements are made for pupils who travel to school on the Caeathro bus.

There is a choice of cereals, toast, fruit juice and milk. The food is provided by Gwynedd Council Provider Department.  

Breakfast assistants supervise pupils at the Club.
